Bronze medal commemorating Admiral Sydney Smith's success in fighting off Napoleon's army in Acre during the battle of 1799. [England, ca.1820].
Obverse: Smith's portrait, inscription: "Sr. W. Sydney Smith, Captain of the Tiger of 74 Guns".
Reverse: British navy ships (under Smith's commandment) near the shores of Acre. Inscription: "Repulsed Bonaparte in 11 Attacks, Made by him, on Acre 1799".
