Crocheted Skullcap – Jerusalem, Late 19th Century
Crocheted skullcap with the caption "Jerusalem". Eretz Israel, late 19th century.
The skullcap is knitted in red, green, white and black threads with a fringe in its center. In the late 19th century such skullcaps were attached to straps and were used as souvenir purses from Eretz Israel.
Height: 14 cm, width: 20 cm. Good condition.
