Five sketches for Passover Seder Plates, created by Yehuda Wallersteiner, "Hakishut" studio, Tel-Aviv, ca. 1940s.
Paper, watercolor, pencil and ink, mounted on cardboard. On the reverse of three of the cardboards appear "Hakishut" ink stamps. Motifs: Exodus from Egypt, Jerusalem, the Four Sons.
"Hakishut" - Wallersteiner Bros. workshop in Tel-Aviv, was active between the 1930s and 1950s. Jehuda Wallersteiner was born in Germany and immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1934.
Three plates: diameter 30.5 cm, two: 44 cm. long. Good condition.
