Esther Scroll and Leaf with Megillah Verses and Blessings
Esther Scroll and a leaf with verses and blessings prior and after reading the Megillah. [ca. mid-20th century].
Anointed parchment, oriental script (Yemenite). "Hamelech" Megillah [most columns open with "HaMelech"], with wood handle. Attached is a leaf with inscribed verses of thanksgiving, which is read according to Yemenite Jewry, prior to reading the Megillah. Also, inscribed are blessings and part of the verse “Arur Haman U-Baruch Mordechi”.
Height of parchment: 20 cm. Very good condition.
