Splendid Seashell Decoration – The Tower of David

Wall decoration made of seashell, with the form of the Tower of David. Eretz Israel, [beginning of the 20th century?].
Seashell (mother of pearl); wood with shell coating.
The Tower of David decoration in mounted in a thick frame with a plaque attached. The plaque is inscribed: "David's Tower". This handsome frame set with shell pieces, some are engraved with floral and geometrical motifs. On top of the decoration is a Star of David with the word "Zion". Another inscription:"Jerusalem".
Length: 27cm, width: 22 cm, depth: 5 cm.
