An Impressive Plaque With the Portrait of Theodor Herzl – for his 15th Death Memorial Day

Brass plaque with Theodor Herzl's portrait. Germany or Austria, 1919.
Cast brass.
A fine artistic plaque; The inscription "Theodor Herzl" appears on the top and on the bottom: "Zum 15. Todestager" [For his 15th death memorial day]. In the center of the plaque appears Hertzl's portrait and the artists signature - "Iak Löw 1919". On the left and the right, between star-shaped decorations, are bold unique Hebrew letters, forming the words: "Benjamin Ze'ev Matityahu Ben Yaakov Hertzl".
Length: 23 cm, width: 23.8 cm, thickness: 1 cm. Good condition. Some damages and corrosion stains. Remnants of hanging screws on verso.
