Hammered Copper Plaques – Ze'ev Raban

Seven hammered copper plaques, designed by Ze'ev Raban.
Passover Haggadah scenes (three plaques); Rebecca carrying a jug on her head; Rebecca giving water to Eliezer, Abraham's slave; worshipers praying at the Western Wall; Rachel's tomb. Attached: eight photos of copper-plaques created by Raban.
Size varies, fair-good condition.
Origin: "Debel" gallery, Jerusalem. Early in the 1980s "Debel" gallery held two exhibitions of paintings and design-sketches by Raban (from the years 1915-1940). This was the first time since the establishment of the State of Israel, that Raban's works were exhibited in a comprehensive, retrospective exhibition.
