Palestinian Headdress with Embroidery and Coins

Headdress with Palestinian embroidery and a row of coins. [Eretz Israel, early 20th century].
Cotton, embroidery threads, coins.
On the front of this headdress is a striped, horseshoe-shaped, twisted material. The center piece is a rectangle with traditional Palestinian embroidery of geometrical and floral design in red, pink, black, and white threads. On both sides of the hat, at the temple area are two pockets with loops for closing and opening. A few different materials are attached to the embroidery in orange and turquoise. An embroidered band (stylistically different from the main one) is attached on the bottom of the headdress with a row of coins from the Ottoman Empire period.
