Hanukkah Lamp – "Bezalel" – Early 20th century
Hanukkah lamp. Eretz Israel, early 20th century.
Hammered brass, silver plated. Signed in Hebrew: "Bezalel Jerusalem"
The lamp stands on four feet, with a row of oil fonts. On the
back-panel appear a menorah and a pair of lions. Above the menorah appears an inscription in Hebrew. The bottom is decorated with arches. A hook for hanging is attached to the back-panel.
Height: 24cm, width: 21cm. Missing two feet and the "shamash".
