A Samovar Dedicated to "Bikur Cholim" Hospital by the Russian Philanthropist Yehushua Zelig Persitz, 1910

A Russian samovar made of steel (manufacturer's mark; proof marks). Russia, [early 20th cent.]. Dedication from 1910.
The samovar served the "Bikur Cholim" hospital staff when the hospital was located in the old city of Jerusalem.
Engraved on the samovar: "Bikur Cholim Hospital Jerusalem (Hebrew) / The General Bicur-Cholim-Hospital" as well as a personal dedication:"remembrance of our visit to Jerusalem, Yehoshua Zelig and Malka Persitz, Tishrei, 1910".
Yehuishua Zelig Persitz was a wealthy merchant in Moscow; he and his family were famous philanthropists who supported numerous Yeshivot in Russia.
Height: 90 cm; diameter: 40 cm. Fair-good condition. Minor damages, corrosion and indentations; several parts are missing (from the lid and spout).
