Havdalah Plate – Germany, Early 20th Century
Havdalah plate, with the inscription "Gut Voch". Germany, early 20th century.
Porcelain (with manufacturer's mark).
The center of the plate is decorated with a Star of David and a Yiddish inscription: “Gut Voch Gut Yohr” [a good week, a good year]. The margins are hand painted with the verse: "Mitzvat HaShem Bara Meirat Einayim". Some of the letters are in red. Grape vines appear as part of the decoration.
Diameter: 21 cm, very good condition.
