Two printed cloth pouches, for a praying shawl and Tefillin. Jerusalem, [late 19th cent. or early 20th cent.].
Cloth; printing.
1. Printed cloth, meant to serve as a Tefillin pouch. Printed on one side: "Order of laying Tefillin and the blessing" and on the other side a Star of David and illustrations of the Holy Sites. The cloth has not been cut or sewn as a pouch.29X35 cm. Stains and creases.
2. Pouch for a praying shawl – Tallit. Printed by "Shmuel HaLevy Zuckermann printing press". On one side: "Order of wearing a Tallit and the blessing" with a Star of David and the Holy Sites, on the other side a large illustration of the Western Wall, "Lamenatze'ach" Menorah and other decorations. 28X24 cm. Stains and creases.
