Decree handwritten by Bishop Rieti, governor of Bologna. Bologna, [15th cent.]. Latin.
Decree issued by the governor of Bologna instructing to release a Jew by the name of Salomon who was arrested after being charged with forgery and had to be exiled from Bologna. The name of the Bishop is not clear. It is possible that it is Dominicus Camisati who was governor of Bologna between the years 1469-1475. [1] leaf 21X23 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and tears, minor text omissions.
