Arthur Szyk – Collection of Items
Collection of items illustrated by Arthur Szyk, and books about him.
The collection is composed of:
*A music box made by Thorens, Switzerland, [end of the 1940s or beginning of 50s]. In the background is an illustration by Arthur Szyk, from the series of Visual History of Nations. Described in print: Israel New Canaan,1948. Has a pull-string at the bottom of the box, which plays the tune of HaTikva.
* Passover Haggadah written and illustrated by Arthur Szyk. Published by Masada and Alumot, [1960s]. Bound in a velvet cover placed in a matching cardboard box.
* The Ten Commandments, Illustrated by Arthur Szyk. Published by the John C. Winston Company, Philadelphia, 1947. English.
* HaNitzachon Alei Gardom, by Yitzchak Gurion. The cover is illustrated by Szyk.
* Postcard with an illustration of David holding Goliath's head, by Szyk. Published by Edition de la Miniature Moderne .
* 11 prints of Szyk's works (some appear in several copies).
