Letter by Members of Ahavat Achim Association to Rabbi Tzadok HaKohen of Paris – Jerusalem, 1890

Lengthy letter by manager of association “Ahavat Achim for natives of France residing in Israel”, to Rabbi Tzadok HaKohen Av Beit Din of Paris. Jerusalem, [1890].
Lengthy letter from Ahavat Achim association which was founded by Jews of France, in framework of “Kollelim” in Jerusalem. Members of association complain that Rabbi Tzadok HaKohen, Av Beit Din of Paris and chief rabbi of France, disregards their first letter in which they coronated him as “President of Holy Land”. Includes signatures of managers and stamps of association.
Due to delay in delivery, an additional letter to Rabbi Tzadok HaKohen was added on last leaf, which reiterates the complaint in harsher words [“what injustice did you find in us, natives of France, which caused you to distance yourself from us?”].
