Interesting Family Correspondence – Endel Family – 1939

Postcards sent to the girl Regina Endel in England by her father in Gladbeck, Nordrhein-Westfalia, Germany, and by her sisters in Paris and Amsterdam, 1939.
1-15. Fifteen postcards sent by H. Endel (possibly Hermann), Regina's father. All postcards are written in German, only several are in Yiddish.
16-18. Three postcards from Sophie/Sophia Endel, Regina's sister. Sent from Amsterdam in September and December 1939. German.
19-23. Five postcards from M. Endel, Regina's sister. Paris, 1939. German.
It seems that Regina Endel arrived with the Kindertransport in England and that her sisters succeeded to escape Germany and reach Amsterdam and Paris during 1939, shortly before WW II broke out. In the "Central Database of Shoah Victims' Names in "Yad VaShem", Hermann and Ester Endel are listed as citizens of Gladbeck who were murdered in Riga, Latvia, during the Holocaust; it is possible that they were Regina's parents. Sophia Endel, b. 1922, is also on the list and was murdered in Auschwitz. Sophia is probably Regina's sister who lived in Amsterdam.
Fair-good condition. Creases, stains and wear.
