Maoz (Maoz Chaim) 1939 / Maoz Chaim 1940 / Chatzerim 1950
1. "Seder Leil Pesach". "Kevutzat HaChugim" [which later became "HaMachanot HaOlim"] Maoz, 1939. At first the Kibbutz was named symbolically "Maoz", but later the name was changed to "Maoz Chaim", commemorating Chaim Sturman, who was killed in September 1938. The Haggadah includes a title named "in the Days of the Holocaust" with interesting texts concerning actual matters, amongst them "the Jewish cry is heard from all of the exiles …" First Haggadah of this Kibbutz. [31] leaves, 26.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Front cover and last leaf are laminated. Back cover is missing (maybe printed later?). Tears to borders of front cover and last leaf. Rebound with plastic spool.

nice illustrations painted by hand. Resembles the 1939 Haggadah with additional texts about actual matters, citation from "Davar" newspaper about thousands of Jews being murdered in Europe, the Land Transfer Regulations and the limitations imposed by the mandatory government on immigration to Eretz Israel, etc. [30] leaves, 25.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Tears to borders of front cover, to first leaves and to the last leaf. No back cover (possibly was printed later). Adhesive tape. Corners of cover and its upper part are missing. Stapled with new staples.
3. Passover Haggadah. Chatzerim, 1950. Non-traditional Haggadah, with illustrations. Includes greetings to the Jewish soldiers and a "Yizkor" text. Attached are typewritten leaves which were attached to the Haggadah with corrections or various text variations. [1], 29, [1] leaves + [8] attached leaves. 21.5 cm. Good condition. Several damages to borders of cover.
