Letters from Intellectuals – Berlin, Vienna and Prague, Late 19th Century

1-8. Eight letters handwritten by Ernst Wechsler, author and editor. Sent from Berlin, Prague and Vienna during the years 1883-1891. German.
Two letters are written on "Deutsche Feuilleton-Zeitung" stationery. Wechsler was the editor of this paper. One letter is on a "Greiner & Caro, Literarisches Institut" postcard. The receiver of the letters is Heinrich Teweles, a playwright and dramaturge, native of Prague (1856), of the Deutsches Landestheater in Prague.
9-29. Nineteen letters handwritten by Angelo Neumann and two telegrams. Sent from Prague during the years 1892-1908. German. Most letters are written on stationery of the German theater in Prague and were sent to Neumann's colleague Heinrich Tewelws (see above). Angelo Neumann, native of Vienna (1838), was a baritone singer and theater director; managed the "Deutsches Landestheater " in Prague since 1885.
Size varies, generally in good to very good condition.
