"Tikun" for Reading Every Night and Day, Amsterdam,1666 – Shabtai Publishing

"Tikun" for reading every night and day, prayers and repentance "tikunim" in anticipation of the redemption, "piyutim, "piyut" of confession by Rabbi Yitzchak Abuhab. Amsterdam, Year of Salvation [1666].
This work was printed in Amsterdam at the height of the "Redemption Tidings" times of the false messiah Shabtai Zvi, and is characteristic of the inspiration to repent in anticipation of the redemption widespread at that time in Jewish communities. According to G. Shalom (Shabtai Zvi, Vol. 2, pp. 432), the tikun was arranged by Nathan Ha'Azati, but possibly the publishers and the editors were Amsterdam rabbis, who at that time still believed that Shabtai Zvi was the Messiah.
