Torah Crown – Vienna – Mid 19th Century
Torah crown. Vienna, mid 19th century, apparently 1846.
Impressed engraved silver (stamped: "18-6"; " T.&Co." – manufacturer's stamp Triesch & Co.).
Large crown, ornamented with floral and leaf patterns. The following inscriptions are engraved around the bottom: "Keter Malchut / Keter Shem Tov / Keter Torah / Keter Kehuna". At the top is a large flower-shaped adornment. Two rows of bells; in the center is a large gilded bell.
Height: 45 cm. maximal width: 27 cm. A few bells have been reconstructed.
