Letter from Rabbi Alexander Zusha Friedman to “She’arim” editorial staff in Tel Aviv, regarding collection in honor of Great Assembly of Agudat Yisrael. Warsaw, 1937.
Rabbi Alexander Zusha Friedman (1897-perished in Holocaust in Cheshvan 1943), genius Torah scholar and well-known community activist, speaker, author and organizer, founded Agudat Yisrael newspaper “Diglenu”. Among the founders and ideologists of Agudat Yisrael movements in Poland (Tze’irei Agudat Yisrael, Po’alei Agudat Yisrael, Bnot Agudat Yisrael, Beit Ya’akov, Yesodei HaTorah and more). From 1925 served as general secretary of “Agudat Yisrael” in Poland. His books on the Torah, Ma’ayana Shel Torah (Der Torah Kval), were published in dozens of editions.
