A printed letter, addressed to the Jewish National Council. In the letter the members of the "Committee for construction of a memorial for Tel-Chai casualties" express their opinion about the memorial in memory of Joseph Trumpeldor, created by Avraham Melnikov in Kefar gilady. "After checking the memorial from all sides and after discussing the subject, all the committee members reached unanimously the conclusion that generally speaking the statue meets the expectations". Finally the version of the writing on the memorial is proposed. "At first, in the first line, in large letters will appear the last sentence said by Trumpeldor before he died: 'Tov Lamut Be'ad Artzenu", followed, in smaller letters by the names of Tel-Chai defenders.". Signed by hand on the letter are Chaim Nachman Bialik and three additional members. [1] leaf typewritten, 22.5X29.5 cm. Good condition. Filing-holes, tears at margin of leaf, folding-marks.
