"HaMachar" – Avigdor Hameiri's Journal, 1927-1931

"HaMachar", mouthpiece for Avigdor Hameiri's ideological struggles. Tel-Aviv, 1927-1931.
Booklets 1-14. "HaMachar" was published by the poet and author Avigdor Hameiri (1890-1970). The covers were designed by the artist Pesach Ir-Shai. The motto which appears on all of the covers: "Freedom of Speech is not an option but a Must". On the cover of the first issue appears a dedication handwritten by Hameiri: "For the reader Y. Silberberg, with a greeting of Aliya with no exit, Avigdor Hameiri". A printed note is attached to some of the journals with the Table of Contents. All of the issues are bound together, vol. 23.5 cm. Generally, in good condition. Stains. Tears to first issue, restored.
