Sefer Yesod HaDa'at - Copy of Author with Glosses and Many Additions

Sefer Yesod HaDa'at, seven pillars of wisdom on Sefirat Ha'omer, "Guide to the perplexedג€¦ profound wisdomג€¦ hidden light of Torah of Rabbi Yisrael Ba'al Shem Tov". Rabbi Eliezer son of Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshel of Magleniza. Warsaw, 1912.
Originally the composition contained seven pillars corresponding to the seven days of the counting. Actually, only the first chapter was printed - Pillar of Chessed.
The following is the author's copy with glosses and many lengthy additions of significant content. It is apparent from some of the corrections that the author intended to republish the book in an expanded edition. Page 40 bears the title "HaDerech", which contains an article justifying Chassidism and harsh words in opposition of the Mitnagdim (in some of the copies a blank leaf was glued onto this leaf); it also contains corrections by the author.
Rabbi Eliezer David Sofer Orenstein, son of the Rebbe Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshel of Magleniza (1826-1878). Grandson of the Maggid of Koznitz and Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshel of Apt. Among his compositions: Sefer Mefa'ane'ach Ne'elamim, Sefer Ohr Chadash and more.
[1], 96 pages [two identical title pages. Missing leaves of approbations (pages 3-12), perhaps the author intentionally removed them from his copy]. 23 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and tears, wear on leaf margins.
