Mishnayot Kodshim-Taharot, Dyhernfurth, 1806 - Handwritten Glosses
Mishnayot, Kodshim-Taharot, with "Rishon L'Zion" and "Tosfot Chadashim". Dyhernfurth, (1806). This edition is the first which contains Kitzur Bi'ur HaGra [brief commentary of the Vilna Ga'on] for Seder Taharot, according to the book "Eliyahu Raba" (Brin, 1802). "Since the copyist was wordy, I was forced to write concisely and to the point".
Erudite handwritten glosses. The writer discusses the Rambam to a great extent and refers to his glosses on the Shas and the Rambam; he mentions matters which he wrote in his Chidushim, "in my pamphlet" and in one place he added "and it appears in our composition section 2 leaf 54". In one of the glosses he writes "ג€¦ and this relates to the question from the Holy Land". We do not know who the author is, however, from the content it appears that the writer is a Torah scholar who printed books of his Chidushim and responded to Halachic questions.
163 leaves; [1], 223 leaves. 21.5 cm. Poor condition, wear and moth holes. Some glosses damaged from mildew. Damaged leather binding.
