On the reverse side of title page, a long interesting dedication to the "Beit Ya'akov- Ferrara Yeshiva" in Jerusalem from a Torah scholar abroad where he writes of his visit to the yeshiva which was then headed by Rabbi Yitzchak Zerachya Azulai, the Chida's father: "ג€¦When I went up the mountain in the court of Hashem's House in the midst of Jerusalem in 1746, on Shabbatג€¦ to study in the General Yeshivaג€¦ Beit Ya'akov Ferraraג€¦ and there the Rabbis were standingג€¦ Rabbi Yitzchak Zerachya Azulaiג€¦ and I askedג€¦this holy book Mishne LaMelech and they told me that it is not in the yeshivaג€¦ and at that time I opened my lips and vowed to send this bookג€¦ and I am fulfilling my vow and sending this book to the yeshivaג€¦ and no scholar is permitted to take it home to learn it because I have dedicated it to be studied inside the yeshivaג€¦ Chaim Shlomo".
