Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer (1870-1954), author of"Even HaEzal", disciple of Rabbi Chaim of Brisk in the Yeshiva of Volozhin. Served as Av Beit Din and Rosh Yehsiva of Slutsk. Immigrated to Jerusalem in 1924 and was appointed primary teacher in the"Etz Chaim" Yeshiva. Among the heads of the"Council of Torah Sages".
