Rabbi Raphael David Saban (1877-1961), a leading Constantinople (Istanbul) scholar, outstanding Torah genius of Halacha and aggada. Served in rabbinic positions from the age of 20. In 1953, he was appointed Chacham Bashi - head of the Rabbis of the Turkish Kingdom. 2 books, size 36 cm. Good quality bluish paper, good-fair condition, moth damage. Non-original binding.
