Rabbi Shlomo Goren (Gorontchik), typewritten letter bearing his hand signature, addressed to the Histadrut Po’alei Agudat Israel Defense Dept. 1949.
The letter begins with the words: “General staff / Military Rabbinical Office / Chief Headquarter”. The letter is about a soldier from the 44th brigade, who was severely punished due to his disobedience to military orders on religious grounds. 20.5 cm leaf. Good-fair condition. Tears, wrinkles, filing holes.
