Stamps, signatures and erudite glosses by the Ga’on Rabbi Eliyahu Ram, Dayan in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Eliyahu Ram of Birzh (1872-1959, Otzar HaRabbanim 2221) immigrated to Jerusalem in 1892 and was known as one of its greatest and most diligent Torah scholars. In 1902 he became slaughterer and examiner and in 1923 was appointed as Dayan in the great Beit Din in “Churvat Rabbi Yehudah HaChassid”, a position which he occupied for thirty six years. His friend, Rabbi Frank, regularly stated, that when Rabbi Eliyahu is present in the Beit Din there is no need for books of the Shas and Shulchan Aruch in which he is so well-versed. The book Aderet Eliyahu was published in his memory.
