The author writes in his introduction regarding the subject matter of the book:"…the understanding of the roots of oneness and belief, to explain and clarify a few basic fundamentals on G-d… the true receiving…which I've accepted from my holy teacher and Rabbi [Ba'al HaTanya] which are not my ideas…lest I have explained them properly".
The Admor Rebbe Aharon HaLevi of Strashle (1765-1828, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, part 1,pages 147-151), was of the greatest students of the Ba'al HaTanya. After his teacher died in the year 1813 a portion of the Chassidim of the Admor HaZaken crowned Rebbe Aharon HaLevi to be the Admor. Many of his works, both in Chassidut and Kabalah, have been printed and are considered of the fundamentals of the Chassidic movement.
