Torah, Neviim and Ketuvim – Venice, 1544-1545 – Especially Rare Edition

Torah, Neviim Rishonim, Neviim Acharonim and Ketuvim. Venice: Daniel Bomberg by Cornelio Adelkind, 1544-1545.

At top of title page at beginning of book: "Five Books of the Torah". Half-titles for Neviim Rishonim, Neviim Acharonim and Ketuvim.
Five Megillot appear after Torah.
On title page: "Printed for a fifth time at the press of Daniel Bomberg of Antwerp in 1544".
On colophon: "Printed for a fourth time, closely proofread by Cornelio Adelkind in 1544 at the press of Daniel Bomberg" (apparently the Torah part only was printed in 1544, and the other three parts were printed in 1545 and appended to it; the fourth edition of the Torah was printed in 1533 and Neviim and Ketuvim parts were appended from the third edition, 1528).
At the end of the volume is a list of year-round haftarot.
In the page headers, Shmuel I-II are called "Kings I-II", while Kings I-II are called "Kings III-IV". The headers of Ezra and Nechemiah read respectively "Ezra I" and "Ezra II, Nechemiah".
In Shmuel and Melachim, explanations of words are printed in the margins in many places, some in Hebrew and most in Judeo-Italian. There are also a few notes to Yehoshua, Shoftim, Yeshayahu and Yechezkel.
Throughout the book, handwritten chapter and verse numbers in the text and at margins, as well as Latin names of the books (the Latin name is also written at the top of some leaves). On verso of title page, handwritten index of Biblical books based on their Latin name, with the location of the book noted (corresponding to the manual numbering appearing on the top-left corner of the leaves).
