Page 1 after title page printed in gilt ink, with a printed new year blessing to be filled out by hand, and a stamp of R. David HaKohen of Vilna, author of Ir David.
Ir David is comprised of sentences which all have the numerical value of the year 5637.
[24] leaves. Some leaves may be bound out of place. Two leaves evidently bound backwards (the verso appearing before the recto). 17.5 cm. Especially brittle and dry paper. Fair condition. Stains. Marginal tears and open tears. Title page and other leaves at beginning of book detached. Stamps. Old cardboard binding, torn.
Last eight leaves of the book printed in a different typeface and order and on different paper than first leaves of book (apparently printed at another press).
Rare. Sh. Halevy, no. 272 records a partial copy with only [11] leaves, based on the Jews' College Library copy in London. The present copy is complete.
