Two editions of sefer Sipurim Nora'im, wondrous stories about the Baal Shem Tov, the Maggid of Mezeritch, the Baal HaTanya, the Mitteler Rebbe of Lubavitch, the Tzemach Tzedek and other Chassidic leaders, by R. Yaakov Keidaner (author of Matzref HaAvodah).

1.Sipurim Nora'im. Munkacs: Blayer & Kohn, 1894. Last page features additions, first printed in the present edition. 32 ff.

2.Sipurim Nora'im. Munkacs: Blayer & Kohn, 1912. After the Munkacs 1894 edition, with variations. 10, 12-14, 17-40, 33-40 ff. Lacking 3 leaves (11, 15-16).


Sipurim Nora'im is known to be based on credible and reliable sources, accurately relating the wonderous tales of the Baal Shem Tov, the Maggid of Mezeritch and Rebbes of Chabad. Stories about the Mitteler Rebbe were mostly witnessed by the author himself, and some were related to the author by the son of the Mitteler Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Nizhyn. Some of the stories about the wonders of the Baal Shem Tov and the Maggid of Mezeritch were related to the author by the Alter Rebbe himself.


17-18 cm. 1894 edition in good condition; 1912 edition in fair condition. Stains and wear. Tears and blemishes. Inscriptions. New covers and endpapers.
