13 postcards depicting synagogues in various cities across Europe. Various publishers and locales, [late 19th century and first decades of the 20th century].
Postcards depict the synagogues in Novogrudok, Kelmė and Skaudvilė (Lithuania); Groß-Gerau, Fellheim, Kaiserslautern, Neunkirchen and Frankfurt (Germany); Niederbronn (Elsass; then part of Germany); Volodymyr (Volodymyr-Volynskyi) in Russia (today, part of Ukraine); Tomsk (Siberia, Russia); Košice (Slovakia); and Bistrița (Romania). Some of the postcards specifically depict the local synagogue, and in others the synagogue is seen as part of a general view of the city. Four of the postcards are undivided.
14X9 cm. Overall good to fair-good condition. Stains and minor blemishes.
