Cheque of the Anglo-Palestine company in the amount of 100 Francs. Stamp of the Jaffa branch. Pick# 5a. With the outbreak of World War I, due to the shortage of cash in Palestine, the Anglo-Palestine Bank started issuing such cheques. These private cheques, in the amount of 5 to 100 Francs, were used as money for all intents and purposes. VF. Typical signatures and inscription. Perforation typical of this series.
