Moshe Murro (1888-1957), "Tefilla" ("Prayer"), relief. Jerusalem, [1906-29]. Marked (Hebrew) "MM"; marked on back (Hebrew-English) "Bezalel moro." Arched plaque featuring a Jewish figure wrapped in a "tallit" prayer shawl. On top, a menorah with intertwined branches, typical of the Bezalel School. Title at bottom (Hebrew): "Tefilla" ("Prayer"). Moshe Murro (1888-1957), was a Bezalel School artist. He was a painter and sculptor who specialized in reliefs. 7X3.5 cm. Good condition. 1. Estate of Mordechai Avniel, director of the Small Sculpture Section of the Bezalel School's Sculpture Department. 2. Estate of Bezalel Avniel. 3. Private collection.
