Thirty Nine Photographs – Moshe Vorobeichic – Palestine, 1930s and 1940s
Thirty nine photographs documenting kibbutzim, the establishment of Tower and Stockade settlements, agriculture, commerce and labor in Palestine. Some were taken by Moshe Vorobeichic; some were published in the "Davar" newspaper supplements "Davar LaGolah" and "Dvar HaPo'elet". [Palestine, 1930s and 1940s].
19 photographs are stamped on verso with the stamp of photographer Moshe Vorobeichic (Raviv). Most of them bear handwritten notes (on verso) indicating that they were intended for printing in "Davar LaGolah" or "Dvar HaPo'elet". Some of the unstamped photographs are captioned in a similar manner and they too were presumably taken by Vorobeichic.
The collection includes three photomontages.
Provenance: The Rimon Family Collection.
