List of scholars who learn full-time, sent to Israeli Army authorities by Yeshivat HaDarom in Rechovot, signed by its Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Elazar [Menachem] Shach. 1951.
Rabbi Elazar Menachem Man Shach (1898-2001) was dean of the Ponivezh Yeshiva and leader of the Torah world in our generation. He served as teacher in the Kletzk Yeshiva, Poland, and when he made aliya to Israel he was appointed as a teacher in the Kletzk Yeshiva in Rechovot, which changed its name to Yeshivat HaDarom. Formally, he was known as Rosh Yeshiva of Kletzk, so that authorities would recognize his confirmations of "full-time scholars".
