Thick manuscript volume, responsa by R. Yoel Ze'ev Wolf Glatstein Rabbi of Helmetz (Kráľovský Chlmec). Ca. 1910s-1920s.
Manuscript handwritten by the author, with emendations and additions. The author's full signature appears at the end of many responsa. Most of this composition was published in Nachalat Yoel Ze'ev, two parts (Brooklyn, 1988-1990).
A kvittel written in Helmetz was found between the leaves of the manuscript.
R. Yoel Ze'ev Wolf Glatstein (ca. 1872 – Sivan 1944), rabbi of Helmetz and the surrounding villages. A leading Torah scholar of the generation, to whom many contemporary rabbis addressed their halachic queries.
[6], 407 leaves (approx. 800 written pages; several blank leaves). 20.5 cm. Good condition. Stains and wear. Loose leaves and gatherings. Some tears (repaired with tape). Original binding, damaged, without spine.
