Diary Passages, Memoirs and Documents – The Alexanderoni Brigade in the Israeli War of Independence

Nine documents (most of them of several leaves) – diary passages, handwritten memoirs and printed documents, about the activity of the Alexandroni Brigade during the Israeli War of Independence, and in particular about the activity of the 33rd battalion [ca. 1948-1949].
Including: handwritten memoirs by Shmuel Karniel, about the battles of Zirin and Kafr Qara; handwritten memoirs about the blowing up of a bridge north to Rosh HaAyin; handwritten memoirs about the "Ayin District" – Kafr Ana, Tel Litvinsky and operation "Chametz"; memoirs of the communications officer about UN observers during the temporary truce; a typewritten text, about the 33 battalion, by Benzion Ziv (Ben Cijjon Frieden, one of the commanders of the Brigade during the War of Independence); official circular, "To all battalions, to all officers of the headquarters" (Hebrew), about the establishment of the 34th battalion of the Alexandroni Brigade, May 1948; an overview of the Iraqi army; and additional documents.
Possibly, these texts were collected for publication in the journal of the Alexandroni Brigade, "Hed Hatichon", or in another publication of the Brigade.
Size varies. Good overall condition. Fold lines, stains or small tears to some of the documents.
