At the top of the title page, a two-line inscription handwritten and signed by the author, dedicating the book to his brother's son-in-law, R. Zalman Neiman.
R. Chaim Sussman Sofer Rabbi of Munkacs and Budapest (1821-1886), prominent Hungarian Torah scholar. Leading disciple of the Chatam Sofer in the latter's final years.
The recipient of the book: R. Shlomo Zalman Neiman of Vienna, son-in-law of R. Yaakov Shalom Sofer of Topoltschan – brother of the Machaneh Chaim.
[3], 2-70 leaves. 32.5 cm. Good condition. Stains and wear. Minor worming. Stamps. New leather binding.
