Handwritten notebook by the famous “Jerusalemite Tzadik” Rabbi Aryeh Levin (1885-1969) from the years 1919-1921.
The notebook includes:
1. Listing of sermons and eulogies which he delivered in various places, between the years 1919-1923. Sermons which he delivered on Shabbat and High Holy Days in the Zaharei Chama Beit Midrash. Among the sermons: “Words of inspiration which I said in 1921, in a prayer service for all members of our Holy Land for our brethren in Poland and the Ukraine, in the Etz Chaim Talmud Torah located in Machaneh Yehudah”. “That which I have said in the eulogy for the dear young man… in the Etz Chaim courtyard… prior to his death”.
2. Copy of replies from the manuscript of Rabbi Avraham Avli Passveler chief Av Beit Din of Vilna. (Recently printed in the Tiferet Refa’el memorial book, according to his original manuscript which was in Rabbi Aryeh’s possession).
3. Copies of teaching regulations at Krakow by the Bach [Bayit Chadash – Rabbi Yoef Sirkish].
4. Signed agreements of Rabbi Aryeh Levin, including list of students expelled from the Talmud Torah.
