Torah, Nevi’im, Ketuvim. Hamburg, [1588]. One of the Bible editions printed between 1586-1589 in Hamburg. The root-letters are printed in regular fonts, while the letters which are not root letters are printed in a hollow font. Each word has root letters completed in tiny letters above the word. Editor’s preface in Latin appears at beginning of book, which contains a Hebrew grammar chart with explanations in Latin.
[23] leaves. 1135, [1], 1141-1572 pages [missing first title page? - separate title pages for the Nevi’im Rishonim, Nevi’im Acharonim and Ketuvim]. 36.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and creases. Two leaves of preface detached. Moth damage. Scotch tape restoration. Handwritten notations indicating yearly Haftarot. Antique leather binding.

Printed from right to left. Emblem of printer enlarged on last leaf. Wooden etched titles at beginning of Chumashim and beginning of five Megillot. End of Sefer Devarim contains section (in Hebrew) “Ma’alat Moshe” – regarding the greatness of Moshe Rabbeinu (not listed in Bibliography Institute CD).
[2], 209-376; CCVIII leaves. 20 cm. Good condition, stains. Minor restoration on title page. Signature and ownership notations. Leather binding combined with restored ancient binding.

Three different volumes of the elegant Bible edition which was printed in Hebrew “… Robertosh Stephenosh and in his home… in Paris” during the years 1539-1543 (includes: five Megillot of the 1554 Karlosh Stephenosh reprint).

151 pages, 25 cm., fair-poor condition, stains and restored mildew damage. Moth damage. New binding.

Separate title page in Hebrew and Latin for each title page, with pertinent page count and pamphlets. Bound together with ancient leather binding [original from period of printing?].

Especially fine copy. Ancient binding – leather-covered wood, with metal clasps for closure.

Concordantiae Bibliorum Hebraicae, by Johannes Buxtorf I. Basel, 1632. At end – table of Parshiot. Includes Hebrew title page: “Concordance on Daniel and Ezra”; printed colophon at end of table of Parshiot: “Printed in Basilia under the command of the esteemed Sir Ludwig König in his home in the year 1630” [however, the book was actually printed two years later]. Beginning of book contains preface in Latin by Johannes Buxtorf, the son, who completed the concordance, based on the Meir Nativ concordance of Rabbi Yitzchak Natan.
Especially thick and large volume, 19 pages, [456] leaves, 41 cm. Good condition. Stains and wear. Ancient damaged parchment binding.

Four volumes [Torah with Megillot, Nevi’im Rishonim, Nevi’im Achronim, Ketuvim]. Beginning of first volume contains two title pages, first illustrated with copper etching, with images of Moshe and Aharon, model of First Temple and Revelation on Mount Sinai. Title pages of other volumes contain images of angels, vulture and beneath wings description of reunion of Yosef with Ya’akov and his brothers upon their descent to Egypt.
Four volumes. [4], 160; 374, [2] leaves. 18 cm. Good condition, stains. Ancient worn bindings, one of which contains metal clasp.

“Zot Torah Asher Sam Moshe” – abbreviated version of commentary of Rabbi Moshe Alshich on the five Megillot (includes compositions: Shoshanat Ha’amakim on Shir HaShirim, commentary on Megillat Esther and Megillat Ruth, words of condolence on Megillat Eicha, and commentary on Megillat Kohelet. Amsterdam, 1698. Ancient signatures: “Netanel”, “… Rabbi Hirsch”.
135 leaves (faulty pagination). 11 cm. Good-fair condition, few stains and some wear, minor moth holes, original leather binding, worn and damaged.

Prayers Yehi Ratzon for saying before and after reciting Psalms at the beginning of the book. Constantinople, 1745. Signed Rabbi Refael Medini and additional handwritten inscriptions.
Missing copy at middle and end (Leaves 189-204, 369-376 are missing, Book of Psalms is complete). 21 cm. Varied condition, first leaves worn and damaged. Unbound.

[4], 618, 112 pages; 288 pages. 23 cm. Fine and slightly dry paper, fair condition, extensive wear damage (with tears and missing text), especially in prayer book. Stains and minor moth damage. Elegant and magnificent original leather binding.
